Thunderbird

Important Note:

Even though the screen shots for this setup are from Apple OS X. The method is the same for both Windows and Macintosh

Things you will need:

  • Your email address i.e username@example.com
  • Your email password

How to configure Thunderbird:

1. Open Thunderbird
2. From the Tools menu choose Account Settings

Step 1

3. Click on Add Account

Step 2

4. Select Email Account and click Continue

Step 3

5. Perform the following steps
Enter your fullname in the Your Name: field
Enter your email address in the Email Address: Field
Click Continue

Step 4

6. Perform the following steps:
Select POP3 for the incoming server
Enter mail.rocketspark.co.nz in the Incoming mail server: field
Enter mail.rocketspark.co.nz in the Outgoing mail server: field
Click on Continue

Step 6

7. Perform the following steps:
Enter your email address in the Incoming User Name: field
Enter your email address in the Outgoing User Name: field
Click Continue

Step 5

8. Enter a name for you to identify this account from your other accounts in the Account Name: field

Step 7

9. Click on Done to complete account setup

Step 8

10. Enter your password when you check your emails for the first time
