Using headings appropriately

Headings and paragraphs are the best way to separate and format text content on a website. If you have a single heading at the top of the page followed by a long page of headingless paragraphs, it is difficult for people to find what they are looking for without reading every single word. Separating text content into headings and paragraphs allows people to skim read down the page to find a heading that is relevant to what they want to know. This makes the wording of headings particularly important, and you need to be specific. Do not try and use bolded text as headings, as it is not clear enough, and more intended for emphasising certain words.
